Checklists for critical points in the negotiation process.

Life is all about negotiation. Yet few of us negotiate consciously—and even fewer know how to negotiate well.

Becoming master of influence gives you a head start in negotiations, situations where you need to influence others, and building collaborative relationships. You’ll gain inspiration, self-confidence, and interpersonal skills for negotiation situations.

Through this training, you’ll systematically develop your negotiation skills and learn

• How to prepare like a professional and boost your performance
• How to influence wisely and lead both the negotiation and its atmosphere
• Reading situations and identifying the underlying needs, interests, and values
• As well as what not to do, and how to avoid pitfalls in negotiations.

The training provides a practical overview of negotiation models, methods, and logic. Clear tools and exercises help you succeed even in difficult situations, so success in negotiations is no longer a matter of chance.

In this coaching, you'll learn five practical negotiation tools covering the following topics:

To define your goals and strategy in negotiation situations: what you want to achieve and how you’ll get there.
To identify the levers of negotiation and make the best possible use of them.
To manage your own status and use nonverbal communication effectively.
Practical strategies for asking questions, engaging in dialogue, and fostering constructive communication.
Understand how persuasion and influence mechanisms work, and be able to use them ethically in negotiation situations.

What previous participants have to say:

“Since the program, I have changed my preparation routines and gathered the most important question types into my own preparation file. I have set clear goals for every negotiation and created a plan on how to achieve them. Nowadays, we assign roles in negotiations more clearly and aligned with our strategy.

I wanted to grow as a negotiator and gain new tools for challenging negotiation situations. For me, the biggest takeaway was the importance of preparation, the difference and benefits of high vs. low status expressions, different question types, and the importance of preparing yourself both mentally and physically.

I definitely recommend joining. Especially if you want tools for either the buying or selling side—this training is valuable for both. In my opinion, the investment was well worth it, and just a few weeks after the program, it has already paid itself back many times over.”

Joonas Laasila Head of Partnerships & Influencer Marketing, Takomo Golf Company

"We often enter demanding negotiations backed by complex technical, financial, and legal contexts. All too often, experts retreat into their comfort zones during negotiations—getting bogged down in substance-level details that ultimately don't matter as much. We joined the negotiation skills coaching to gain perspective and insight so we could grow and read negotiation situations much better.

One of the biggest takeaways from the program was realizing the true importance of preparation: analyzing negotiation motives in advance and deciding on team roles beforehand. In a rush, it’s easy to charge into situations unprepared—leaving yourself in a difficult position.

The training is valuable, but in our case, the investment will likely pay for itself in a single negotiation. I recommend joining if you feel ready for it. My only hope is that the counterparties in our negotiations don’t take this program."

Timo Valtonen Chief Executive Officer, Julius Tallberg Real Estate Plc

Influencing others is not a matter of chance, but a repeatable model of action. We start with the end result: what decision do we want? We build a path around that, along with a style suited to the situation and visible behavior. When these elements are aligned, the message gets across and meetings conclude with an agreed-upon next step—not left hanging.

Next, we read the room and steer the situation. You’ll recognize the levers of negotiation and consciously use status and nonverbal communication: eye contact, tone of voice, pauses, and space create a framework within which the other party wants to move forward. At the same time, you correct cognitive biases with simple checks. The result is less unnecessary friction and more high-quality decisions—consistently and ethically.
